KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA January 13, 2026 – Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim attended the 74th Meeting of the National Council for Islamic Religious Affairs Malaysia (MKI) this morning, chaired by His Royal Highness Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah of Perak Darul Ridzuan.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Anwar highlighted the significance of the sultan’s address, which focused on leadership responsibilities, educational empowerment, and the effective management of Islamic affairs. He described the guidance as “profoundly meaningful” and essential for addressing contemporary challenges while fostering values, knowledge, and conscience within the Muslim community.
The meeting underscored the collaborative spirit between the federal government and state authorities in formulating strategic decisions for the benefit of Muslims, aligning with Malaysia’s diverse societal needs. Anwar reiterated the MADANI government’s commitment to strengthening Islamic affairs through inclusive consultations, grounded in the Federal Constitution and the principles of Malaysia MADANI, to promote communal welfare and national harmony.
