Key objectives of the Task Force include:
– Coordinating federal planning and response for security, transportation, and entry/exit processes.
– Promoting interagency cooperation and information-sharing with state and local partners.
– Identifying and recommending solutions to any legal, logistical, or regulatory barriers that could hinder effective federal support.
– Assisting in the planning and implementation of visa processing and credentialing programs for foreign athletes, coaches, officials, and media personnel.
– Ensuring operational readiness across critical areas such as law enforcement, counterterrorism, transportation, and emergency response.

The President will serve as Chair of the Task Force, with the Vice President as Vice Chair. Members include high-level officials such as the Secretary of State, Secretary of the Treasury, Secretary of Defense, Attorney General, Secretary of Commerce, Secretary of Transportation, Secretary of Homeland Security, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, among others. The Task Force may invite additional heads of executive departments and agencies as needed.

An Executive Director, designated by the Chair, will oversee day-to-day operations and report through the Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Implementation. The Task Force will be administratively housed within the Department of Homeland Security, which will provide necessary funding and support.

Agency heads are required to submit detailed reports on their planning and activities related to the Games by October 1, 2025. The Task Force is set to terminate on December 31, 2028, unless extended by the President.

This initiative underscores the Administration’s commitment to delivering a seamless and secure event that highlights America’s leadership while protecting taxpayers and ensuring the highest standards of safety. For the full text of the Executive Order, visit whitehouse.gov.
