Describing the plant as a symbol of Malaysia’s ambition to elevate its economic potential and enhance public welfare, Anwar emphasized the importance of efficient management, a skilled professional workforce, and strong collaboration to secure essential national resources like water. “The development of this plant reflects our commitment to raising the economic ceiling and uplifting the floor of public well-being,” he said.

Anwar underscored that water and energy are the lifeblood of development, stating, “Without these, it would be impossible for Malaysia to position itself as a prime destination for investment, a technology hub, or a regional data center.” He highlighted the close cooperation between the federal government, state authorities, and local companies, which has enabled the realization of this multi-billion-ringgit project through local expertise.

Expressing high hopes for the project, Anwar said it would bolster economic resilience, improve living standards, and uphold principles of good governance. He extended his appreciation to all involved in making Langat 2 a reality, describing it as a legacy for both current and future generations.

“This project is a proud achievement, showcasing the ingenuity of our people and our collective resolve to build a stronger, more sustainable Malaysia,” he concluded.
