BENTONG. Malaysia, August 20, 2025 – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and Royal Thai Police (RTP) have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing security cooperation between the two neighboring nations during the 28th Departmental Review of the Joint Malaysia-Thailand Working Committee Meeting on Criminal Activities. The two-day meeting, hosted by PDRM’s Commercial Crime Investigation Department, concluded today at Geo Resort and Hotel, Genting Highlands.

The PDRM delegation was led by Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, while the RTP delegation was headed by Deputy Commissioner Police General Kriboon Suadsong.
In his address, Tan Sri Ayob Khan expressed gratitude to all delegates for the meaningful discussions, which further solidified the security partnership between Malaysia and Thailand. He emphasized that the talks underscored a shared resolve to strengthen safety and security while demonstrating a collective determination to combat crime more effectively.

As part of the program, the RTP delegation visited the Kuala Lumpur Police Training Centre (PULAPOL), accompanied by Senior Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Asmadi Abd Hashim, Head of Management (Training/Examination/Competency) at Bukit Aman, Senior Assistant Commissioner Dr. S. Batumalai R. Suppiah, and Deputy Commander (Training) of PULAPOL KL, Assistant Commissioner of Police Muhammad Najib Hamzah. The delegation received a briefing on the training center’s facilities and functions.
The event culminated in a gala dinner at Geo Resort and Hotel, Genting Highlands, as a gesture of appreciation for the RTP delegation.
