KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, June 23, 2025 — Political Secretary to the Prime Minister, Datuk Azman Abidin, has strongly condemned the act of burning posters of Prime Minister. Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim a recent demonstration in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Labeling the act as an extreme display of political hatred, Azman warned that such behavior threatens national peace by inciting division through inflammatory narratives.
In a statement, Azman emphasized that the right to free speech must be exercised responsibly, urging Malaysians to uphold a healthy democratic culture in line with the principles of courtesy and morality outlined in the Rukun Negara.
He called on citizens to reject groups that provoke unrest and destabilize the nation, stressing the need to preserve Malaysia’s peace and prosperity.
