NSRC: Swift Response to Protect Malaysians from Rising Online Fraud

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, July 20, 2025 — The National Scam Response Centre (NSRC) has emerged as a critical frontline defense in combating online financial fraud since its establishment, safeguarding Malaysians from increasingly sophisticated scams.

Handling an average of 500 calls daily via its 997 emergency hotline, the NSRC has earned public trust with its efficient, rapid, and victim-friendly response system, addressing the growing threat of digital financial scams.

Led by the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN), efforts to curb cybercrime have intensified, aligning with the MADANI Reformasi agenda. The MADANI government remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting citizens from complex fraud threats.
