MALAYSIA, Kuala Lumpur, 23 June 2025 – Dato’ Sri Hj. Mohd Khalid Hj. Ismail officially began his duties as the 15th Inspector-General of Police (IGP) today, succeeding Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, who has retired from service.

Arriving at the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Headquarters in Bukit Aman in an official vehicle, Dato’ Sri Hj. Khalid was greeted with a ceremonial “Guard Turn Out” by the Commandant Branch, marking the start of a new era in PDRM’s top leadership.
He was welcomed by Director of Management, CP Dato’ Abdul Aziz Abdul Majid, Director of Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, CP Dato’ Sri Mohd Yusri Hj. Hassan Basri, and Acting Director of Commercial Crime Investigation Department, CP Dato’ Sri Muhammed Hasbullah Ali.
Dato’ Sri Hj. Khalid was then escorted to the 31st floor to sign the visitor’s book, symbolizing the official commencement of his tenure. The ceremony was graced with a recitation of a safety prayer led by Deputy Director (Religion and Counselling) of the Integrity and Standards Compliance Department, DCP Datuk Azhan Abdul Halim.
Also present were PDRM deputy directors, Malaysia Police Secretary SAC Dato’ Kamaruzaman Abdullah, heads of the IGP’s secretariat, and PDRM Corporate Communications Chief ACP Julina Salehuddin.
