MUALLIM, PERAK, MALAYSIA Oct 15, 2025– Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and Works Minister Dato’ Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi officiated the handover ceremony for the Muallim District Police Headquarters (IPD) construction project today, marking another key achievement by the MADANI Government in bolstering the nation’s security infrastructure.

The RM85 million project, which began on December 27, 2017, and was fully completed on June 30 this year, was constructed using a conventional two-phase method on a 28.02-acre site. It includes the main administrative building, 61 units of multi-class residential quarters for officers and members of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), a surau, a multipurpose hall, and other supporting facilities.
According to the official statement by Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN), construction incorporated the Industrialised Building System (IBS) with a score exceeding 70 percent, which not only enhances process efficiency and safety but also reduces reliance on foreign labor. The project emphasizes environmental sustainability through energy-efficient designs, eco-friendly materials, and a Rainwater Harvesting System (SPAH), aligning with government policies on green construction.
“This initiative not only meets PDRM’s operational needs but also supports members’ welfare through comfortable quarters, thereby fostering a better work-life balance,” it stated, adding that the new IPD will serve as the primary control center for police activities in the Muallim district.
As part of the 12th Malaysia Plan (RMK-12), the construction is expected to elevate Muallim’s image as a safe and conducive area for socioeconomic growth. It will also strengthen the readiness of security forces under KDN, including the effectiveness of patrols, law enforcement, and community services.
The close collaboration between KDN and the Ministry of Works (KKR), supported by the Public Works Department (JKR) and contractors, has ensured the project is implemented in an integrated and high-impact manner. “This synergy reflects the MADANI Government’s commitment to guaranteeing security, public tranquility, and community well-being,” the statement added.
With modern facilities and a strategic location, the Muallim IPD is anticipated to support KDN’s MADANI Reform aspirations in creating a safe, harmonious, and inclusive living environment for the people.
