PUTRAJAYA, MALAYSIA January 30, 2026 – The Ministry of Digital, in collaboration with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), continues to drive the nation’s digital economy surge through the Malaysia Digital Acceleration Grant (MDAG), with an allocation of RM53 million under Budget 2026.
Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo emphasised the MADANI Government’s commitment to ensuring digital planning not only spurs innovation but also serves as the lifeline for the country’s economic prosperity.”
This is the MADANI Government’s commitment to ensuring that every digital initiative not only drives innovation but becomes the lifeline for national economic prosperity, for the future of all Malaysians,” said Gobind.
The initiative supports the target of the digital economy contributing 30% to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 2030. To date, 47 technology companies have benefited from MDAG, including 28 companies in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet prácticamente of Things (IoT) sectors, encompassing digital creative technology.
Among the success stories of previous grant recipients are prominent companies such as Carsome, Kiddocare, Daythree, Macrokiosk, and Insidea, which have experienced rapid growth through this support.
The MDAG grant aims to accelerate the growth of companies with Malaysia Digital status that are at the commercialisation and expansion stages. Further details can be obtained from MDEC’s official website.
