KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA March 14, 2026 – In a major boost to community-driven economies ahead of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has simultaneously launched the Bazar Raya NADI 2026 across 1,098 National Information Dissemination Centres (NADI) nationwide. This initiative aims to empower up to 10,000 local entrepreneurs, doubling the participation from over 5,000 in last year’s edition.
Coordinated under MCMC’s Perkhidmatan Pintar NADI, the programme serves as a vital platform for community entrepreneurs to expand their marketing opportunities during the festive season. It underscores NADI’s growing role in fostering economic growth at the grassroots level, bridging digital divides, and enhancing socio-economic competitiveness.
The national kick-off was officiated by Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil on March 7, 2026, at NADI PPR Kerinchi, symbolising the event’s nationwide rollout. This year, promotional efforts are focused on five key locations to maximise visibility and impact: NADI Sungai Tua in Gombak, Selangor; NADI Kampung Dato’ Ahmad Said Tambahan 2 in Ipoh, Perak; Padang Bola Sri Johor 4AB in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur; Kulai in Johor Bahru; and NADI Kubang Semang (Yayasan Aman) in Pulau Pinang.
At Padang Bola Sri Johor 4AB in Bandar Tun Razak, the bazaar was officially launched today by Bandar Tun Razak Member of Parliament Dato’ Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail. Beyond sales activities, the event featured community-oriented programmes, including the Kempen Internet Selamat (Safe Internet Campaign), aimed at raising public awareness on internet safety and responsible technology use.
The bazaar also highlights strategic collaborations between MCMC and government agencies such as the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), and the Farmers’ Organisation Authority (LPP). These partnerships facilitate initiatives like Jualan Rahmah MADANI and Jualan Agro MADANI, aligning with the MADANI Government’s goals to provide affordable essentials to the public during festive periods.
Building on the success of the 2025 edition, Bazar Raya NADI 2026 is more than a seasonal marketplace. It represents MCMC’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the community’s digital economy ecosystem, narrowing digital gaps, and boosting overall socio-economic resilience in line with NADI’s foundational objectives.
