Malaysian Woman Makes History with 444km Ultra Run, Earns Malaysia Book of Records Recognition

PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia, 10 July 2025 – Puan Noor Ainun Yeop Kamaruddin has become the first Malaysian woman to be recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) for completing the grueling 444km Nozomi Coast to Coast Run, earning the title “First to Complete Nozomi Coast to Coast Run (Female) Distance 444KM.”

The prestigious MBOR certificate was presented to Noor Ainun by Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, Adam Adli, during a ceremony today.

The ultra runner completed the challenging race from Lumut, Perak to Bachok, Kelantan in an impressive 118 hours, 18 minutes, and 14 seconds, marking a historic milestone as the first Malaysian woman to conquer the event since its inception in 2017.

Noor Ainun’s remarkable achievement was lauded by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which congratulated her for her dedication and perseverance.

“Her success is a testament to the values of resilience and determination, aligning with the Malaysia MADANI vision of fostering competitive and spirited citizens,” the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry hopes Noor Ainun’s triumph will inspire the broader sports community and promote a stronger sports culture across Malaysia.
