In a keynote address at the Presidential Lecture series, Anwar emphasised the critical need for ASEAN member states to reinforce unity and centrality to navigate intensifying geopolitical rivalries and complex regional challenges. Reflecting on ASEAN’s nearly six-decade journey, he noted that its resilience through turbulent times underscores the importance of collective strength.
“ASEAN’s unity must be consistently upheld. Division will only undermine our shared efforts to build a peaceful and prosperous region,” Anwar declared.
