KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA Sept 30, 2025 – Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed profound emotion and inspiration during his visit to the main headquarters of MAPIM for the Global Sumud Flotilla on Tuesday afternoon. He lauded the unwavering determination of the flotilla’s activists, who have braved days at sea to champion justice, igniting hope not only for Palestinians in Gaza but also for global communities following their journey with fervent solidarity.

The Malaysian government remains steadfast in its support, prioritizing the swift delivery of humanitarian aid and the safe arrival of the flotilla’s activists in Gaza, expected to enter the red zone tomorrow. Anwar highlighted the collective efforts of allies from Malaysia, Turkey, Italy, and Spain, whose tireless contributions have strengthened global solidarity. He emphasized that Malaysia’s close and direct ties with international partners serve as a vital platform for mobilizing this global movement.
The coming days will be fraught with challenges, Anwar acknowledged, noting potential threats and attacks from adversaries. Yet, he drew strength from the resilience of the activists at sea, particularly the 34 Malaysians among them, whose participation marks a historic moment in the fight for justice and humanity.
Looking ahead, Anwar revealed plans for a crucial meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump to ensure open dialogue remains a cornerstone for securing peace and expanding humanitarian aid routes to Gaza. While not a final solution, he stressed that this initiative is a critical step toward halting attacks and threats, amplifying the call for justice and peace on the global stage.
“Let us continue to pray to Allah SWT for the protection of this mission, that it may shine as a beacon of hope and a powerful response to oppression,” Anwar urged. He described the flotilla as a defining moment, heralding the dawn of a new, more peaceful world order grounded in justice.
