PUTRAJAYA, MALAYSIA February 11, 2026 – Five Malaysian companies are set to finalize business agreements worth a combined value of nearly RM2 billion with partners in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, during the upcoming Makkah Halal Forum 2026.
The companies involved are Jaman Tory Group Sdn Bhd, A&A Empire Sdn Bhd (known for the Bokitta brand of instant hijabs), Agro 19 Berhad, Ramly Food Processing Sdn Bhd, and Ayamas Integrated Poultry Industry Sdn Bhd. These deals will be concluded with respective business partners in Mecca as part of the forum, scheduled to take place from February 14 to 16, 2026, at the Makkah Chamber for Exhibitions and Events Center.
According to Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong, this initiative goes beyond mere participation in exhibitions or market exploration. For the first time, the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP), through Bank Rakyat, has implemented a comprehensive “hand-holding” program. This guidance and empowerment effort matches Malaysian businesses with export markets, leading to successful outcomes.
“This is not just about going for exhibitions and exploration, but for the first time, KUSKOP through Bank Rakyat is implementing a guidance and empowerment program (‘hand holding’) to match Malaysian businesses with export markets until success is achieved,” said Sim.
The program has enabled these Malaysian companies to realize sales potential valued at nearly RM2 billion through the forum platform.
Sim highlighted Saudi Arabia’s strategic importance as a market, attracting approximately 30 million international visitors annually. It serves as a key gateway for introducing Malaysian products and brands to the global community, particularly within the rapidly growing halal ecosystem.
Bank Rakyat, an agency under KUSKOP, supports this effort by providing financing facilities to strengthen the financial capacity of the involved companies for expanding into the Middle East market. The five selected companies are existing Bank Rakyat customers, chosen based on their export readiness and international growth potential.
This pilot program will continue to guide other Malaysian micro, small, and medium enterprises (PMKS) in penetrating domestic and international markets, in line with the ABCD Strategy introduced by the Minister.
