According to Anwar, this success is the result of the prayers of all Malaysians and the continuous efforts of various parties that mobilized all available strengths. “Praise be to Allah SWT, thanks to the prayers of the Malaysian people and the continuous efforts of all parties that rallied all strengths, it has finally borne fruit,” he added.

The Malaysian PM also expressed profound appreciation to his close ally, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as well as leaders of other friendly countries who helped facilitate the release process for these Malaysian activists and volunteers. “Thank you to my close friend President Erdogan and fellow leaders of other friendly countries who helped ease the arrangements for the release of every Malaysian activist and volunteer,” he said.

The Global Sumud Flotilla mission, aimed at supporting humanitarian issues in the Middle East region, drew international attention when several Malaysian activists were detained earlier this week. Their release marks a diplomatic victory for Malaysia, which has consistently advocated for human rights at the regional and international levels.

The Malaysian government is expected to hold a special welcome ceremony when the group returns to the homeland in the near future. The Foreign Ministry has confirmed that all involved parties are in good health and safe.
