KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, 8 August 2025 – Malaysia has declared its unwavering support for Palestine, vowing not to remain silent in the face of ongoing injustices in Gaza. Speaking at the launch of the *Malaysian Presidential Council of the Global Coalition for Jerusalem and Palestine* tonight, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail emphasized the nation’s commitment to defending the sanctity of Baitulmaqdis and advocating for the rights of the Palestinian people.

The newly established council unites non-governmental organizations, religious institutions, and activists from various countries, all driven by a shared goal of supporting Palestine. A key initiative announced during the event is *The 1,000-Ship Flotilla: Call to Break the Siege*, described as the largest maritime humanitarian operation in history. The mission will see 1,000 ships from across continents deliver aid directly to Gaza, aiming to break the illegal blockade that has long denied Palestinians their basic rights.

“This is not just a voyage to deliver aid. It is a powerful message to the world that we will not yield or turn away,” said Saifuddin.

Acknowledging the challenges ahead, the Home Minister expressed confidence that the struggle, though long and arduous, will persist as long as there are hearts that care and hands willing to help. “Gaza will never stand alone,” he affirmed.

The launch marks a significant step in Malaysia’s ongoing efforts to champion the Palestinian cause on the global stage.
