PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia, July 24, 2025 – The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) has welcomed the initiatives announced by Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim on July 23, 2025, aimed at addressing the cost-of-living challenges through targeted interventions and additional livelihood assistance.
To bolster these efforts, KPDN will enhance the implementation of the Program Jualan RAHMAH MADANI (PJRM) with an additional RM300 million allocation, doubling the original budget to a total of RM600 million for all programs under the RAHMAH MADANI Agenda.
The ministry outlined three key improvements for PJRM in 2025:
- Increased Frequency Nationwide: KPDN aims to hold 20,000 PJRM events across all 222 parliamentary constituencies, 600 State Legislative Assembly (DUN) areas, and 40 zones in the Federal Territories.
- Expanded Product Offerings: The program will increase the variety of essential goods (Stock Keeping Units) offered, tailored to local demand and seasonal needs, such as festive periods.
- Broader Retail Partnerships: More strategic retail partners will be involved through mobile, in-premise, and off-premise PJRM initiatives.
KPDN has made the PJRM schedule available on its website, with updates to reflect the additional events planned for 2025.
