JITRA, KEDAH, Malaysia Aug 3, 2025 – Kedah Police have successfully seized a significant quantity of suspected marijuana in Bukit Kayu Hitam, believed to have been smuggled from a neighboring country.
Kedah Police Chief CP Adzli Abu Shah announced during a press conference that four individuals—comprising both men and women—were detained to assist with investigations.

In a separate operation at the Bukit Kayu Hitam ICQS Complex, police arrested one man and two women for inspection. A search uncovered marijuana hidden in the boot of their vehicle.
All suspects are currently in custody and are being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries a mandatory death penalty or life imprisonment upon conviction.
