KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, August 4, 2025 – Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail has reaffirmed the Ministry of Home Affairs’ (KDN) unwavering commitment to eradicating corruption and malpractices at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), including notorious syndicates involved in “counter setting,” “flying passport,” and other activities tarnishing Malaysia’s global image.

Speaking firmly, Saifuddin emphasized a zero-tolerance policy on integrity violations, stating there is “no room for compromise.” The ministry has rolled out comprehensive and systemic measures to address the issue head-on:
– Full digitalization of entry points with 635 biometric autogates.
– Body-worn cameras for Immigration officers to enhance transparency.
– Advance Passenger Screening System to bolster security checks.
– Integrity training and awareness programs for personnel.
“This is not just about protecting a department; it’s about upholding Malaysia’s dignity on the world stage,” Saifuddin declared. He reiterated that stern action will be taken against anyone found guilty, regardless of position.
The initiatives underscore KDN’s resolve to restore trust and ensure KLIA operates as a world-class gateway, free from corruption and misconduct.
