KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, 11 August 2025 – The Director of the Commercial Crime Investigation Department (JSJK) Bukit Aman, CP Dato’ Rusdi Mohd Isa, witnessed the Handover of Duties Ceremony for the Kuala Lumpur Police Chief position between the Acting Kuala Lumpur Police Chief, DCP Dato’ Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad, and the new appointee, CP Dato’ Fadil Hj. Marsus. The ceremony took place at Dewan Sri Satria, Kuala Lumpur Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK), this morning.

The event commenced with Dato’ Rusdi pinning the Commissioner of Police insignia on Dato’ Fadil, followed by the signing and exchange of handover documents. Dato’ Fadil’s appointment as Kuala Lumpur Police Chief takes effect today, in line with the recent directive on the transfer of senior Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) officers.
Dato’ Fadil, previously the Acting Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) Bukit Aman, has been entrusted to lead the Kuala Lumpur Contingent, with a commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the capital city.
Concurrently, the ceremony also included the Handover of Duties for the Chairperson of the Police Family Association (PERKEP) Kuala Lumpur Contingent, from Datin Ain Robieah Shamsudin to the new chairperson, Datin Nurashidah Ishak. This was witnessed by the JSJK PERKEP Chairperson, Datin Zuraini Abdul Razak.
The event was attended by department heads, District Police Chiefs, and members of PERKEP Kuala Lumpur Contingent, who expressed their support for the new leadership.
In his speech, Dato’ Rusdi emphasized that Dato’ Fadil’s appointment reflects the trust and confidence of PDRM’s top leadership in his credibility and leadership capabilities. He expressed hope that Dato’ Fadil would lead the Kuala Lumpur Contingent with excellence to maintain the city’s peace and prosperity.
