JPM Hosts Colouring Competition to Celebrate Independence Month 2025

PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia, Aug 14 2025 – The Prime Minister’s Department (JPM) organised a vibrant colouring competition today in conjunction with Independence Month 2025, engaging young children at its in-house nursery and kindergarten to foster patriotism and creativity.

Held at Taska and Tadika JPM within the Kompleks Setia Perdana, the event featured preschoolers diligently colouring patriotic-themed drawings, as captured in a video shared by the department’s official X account.

The footage showcases children in red uniforms seated on the floor, focused on their artwork with crayons and colouring books depicting national symbols. Teachers supervised the activity, encouraging participation in a lively classroom setting adorned with educational posters and toys.

The competition aligns with JPM’s efforts to instil national pride among the younger generation ahead of Malaysia’s 68th Independence Day on August 31. Video credits go to Tengku Amirul Syamil bin Tengku Shamsubahrian from JPM’s Communications Unit (UKK).

This initiative is part of broader celebrations across government agencies to commemorate Merdeka, promoting values of loyalty and progress under the Malaysia MADANI framework.
