Joe Rogan Challenges Bernie Sanders Over Criticism of Elon Musk’s $270M Election Donation

WASHINGTON- In a heated exchange, podcast host Joe Rogan pushed back against Senator Bernie Sanders after the Vermont senator criticized billionaire Elon Musk for donating $270 million to support Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.

Sanders called the contribution “absurd,” arguing that no single individual should wield such financial influence in an election.

“[Elon] spent $270 million to elect Trump as president. I think that’s absurd that any one person,” said Sanders.

Rogan quickly countered, questioning the scale of donations to Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign. “What’s the most someone donated towards the Harris campaign?” he asked.

Sanders acknowledged significant spending, stating, “They spent a lot of money on her.”

Rogan pressed further, pointing out the disparity: “They spent $1.5 billion in the course of a couple of months.”

The exchange highlighted tensions over campaign finance, with Rogan challenging Sanders’ selective outrage by comparing Musk’s donation to the broader spending in the 2024 election cycle.
