BATU PAHAT, MALAYSIA, Sept 30, 2025 – The Department of Information Malaysia (JAPEN) demonstrated its commitment to community development by officially handing over projects under the Kampung Angkat MADANI (KAM) initiative at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Seri Medan in Batu Pahat, Johor.

JAPEN Director-General Puan Julina binti Johan presided over the ceremony on September 29, where two high-impact physical developments were completed: the upgrading and renovation of a classroom into a computer laboratory, along with the installation of a heli fan. During the event, Puan Julina personally inspected the newly equipped computer lab facilities.

In addition to these upgrades, JAPEN remains dedicated to further improving local well-being through an ongoing project to construct an additional block at Masjid Pekan Sri Medan, which is currently in the initial site preparation and design phase. This effort underscores the MADANI government’s approach to ensuring direct benefits for the public.
The event also featured the special edition of PENTARAMA X Kelab Malaysiaku, which included engaging activities such as a Mini Education Carnival, Mini Skillbox, Road to Varsity, BAKTI@Komuniti MADANI, and Kenduri Rakyat MADANI.
The program drew an enthusiastic crowd of over 1,500 attendees, including students, teachers, members of the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG), the Batu Pahat MADANI Community, and representatives from various government departments and agencies.
Also in attendance were SMK Seri Medan Principal Tuan Haji Masrom bin Rahmat and Encik Musa bin Atan, Senior Assistant Director for Student Development at the Johor State Education Department.
