KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Sept 30, 2025 – Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail shared insightful perspectives as a panelist at the 8th Malaysia MADANI Scientists Forum held last night, chaired by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Themed “Integrity and National Leadership – Commitment and Holistic, Systemic Reforms,” the forum sparked an in-depth discussion on the critical role of integrity in leadership. In his speech, Saifuddin emphasized that a leader’s integrity directly impacts the well-being of the people.

“Integrity is not merely about image or slogans; it is the foundation that shapes work culture, decision-making processes, and the effective implementation of government policies in a fair and transparent manner,” he stated.
He also linked integrity to the responsibilities of the Home Ministry (KDN), which oversees critical agencies such as the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM), and Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM). He cautioned that a lack of integrity not only tarnishes reputations but could also erode public confidence in these institutions.
“Integrity must be the core, not an option,” Saifuddin stressed, urging for the culture of integrity to be strengthened at all levels of leadership.
The forum is expected to continue serving as a platform to enhance awareness and collective commitment to upholding integrity, driving holistic and systemic reforms for the nation’s future.
