BATU KAWAN, PENANG, August 9, 2025 – Imigresen FC marked their maiden appearance in the Malaysia Super League with a spirited performance against Kuala Lumpur City FC at Batu Kawan Stadium last night.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, who was in Alor Setar for an event, made a brief stopover to show his support for the newly promoted side.
Despite the result not going in their favor, Saifuddin remained optimistic about the team’s journey. “The road ahead is long, and this is just the beginning. As a team stepping onto the top tier for the first time, the focus now is on building strength and cohesion,” he said.
Urging the players to stay focused and give their all on the pitch, he added, “There’s no need to be weighed down by expectations. Play with heart, and success will come to those who never give up.”
Saifuddin expressed his hopes for Imigresen FC to maintain their fighting spirit as they navigate the challenges of the elite league.
