IGP Urges Probationary Inspectors to Uphold High Integrity as Foundation of Police Career

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA Oct 10, 2025  – Inspector-General of Police (IGP), IG Dato’ Sri Hj. Mohd Khalid Hj. Ismail, emphasized that every Probationary Inspector must strengthen their stance and identity with high values of integrity as the primary preparation in shouldering responsibilities as Senior Officers of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).

He made the statement while officiating the Parade Ceremony for the Completion of the Basic Police Training Program for Probationary Inspectors Batch 13 Series 1/2025 at the Parade Ground, Police Training Centre (PULAPOL) Kuala Lumpur, this morning.

“The police career is a highly challenging profession in terms of mental, physical, and emotional aspects. It demands sacrifices of time and energy, while also testing the mental resilience, spiritual fortitude, and credibility of its members in facing the increasingly complex and intricate challenges of contemporary crime,” said Dato’ Sri Hj. Mohd Khalid.

He also called on all members of the Blue Flag force to enhance control over discipline, integrity, morals, and ethics to avoid actions that could tarnish the force’s image.

The training completion parade was attended by 345 Probationary Inspectors, including 105 Main Honor Guards led by the Parade Commander, Probationary Inspector Syenly Sinairi, assisted by the Deputy Parade Commander, Probationary Inspector Ahmad Syahid Salahudin.

The event was further graced by the presence of His Royal Highness, Tengku Panglima Perang, Lieutenant Tengku Ahmad Ismail Mu’adzam Shah Ibni Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

Awards for Top Trainees

Prior to that, Dato’ Sri Hj. Mohd Khalid conducted a detachment inspection mounted on a ceremonial vehicle, followed by the presentation of certificates to the top trainees who demonstrated outstanding performance throughout the program.

Probationary Inspector Mahira Alias was announced as the Overall Best Trainee, while Probationary Inspector Sudirman Garamah and Probationary Inspector Stephanie Anak Bunyau each received the Best Outdoor Training Award for the male and female categories, respectively. Probationary Inspector Wong Chun Wai was crowned the Best Academic Trainee.

The ceremony was also witnessed by the Chairman of the Police Family Association (PERKEP) Malaysia, Datin Sri Datuk Hjh. Munirah Che Rose, along with the Directors and Deputy Directors of PDRM, State Police Chiefs, senior officers, PERKEP members, trainees’ families, and members of the media.
