KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia. Sept 22, 2025  – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has lauded the government’s launch of the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) program, describing it as a significant step toward easing living costs and enhancing the welfare of security personnel.

In a media statement released today, Inspector-General of Police Dato’ Sri Hj. Mohd Khalid Bin Hj. Ismail expressed the force’s “highest appreciation and thanks” to the Malaysian government for implementing the initiative, which takes effect on September 27 and targets PDRM officers and members of the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM).

“As a law enforcement institution upholding the Malaysia Madani aspirations, PDRM views this noble initiative as evidence of the government’s concern for the people’s well-being,” the statement read. “It not only lightens the burden of living costs but also strengthens social welfare and national stability.”

The program is expected to provide direct relief on fuel expenses, which Khalid said would positively impact PDRM personnel stationed across the country. “The reduction in fuel costs can directly enhance the motivation and resilience of our members in fulfilling their duties to ensure public order and safety,” he noted.

The statement highlighted the innovative use of MyKad for eligibility verification at petrol stations, aligning with Malaysia’s digitalization push. This approach, according to PDRM, demonstrates the government’s commitment to transparent, efficient, and sustainable subsidy management.

PDRM reaffirmed its dedication to partnering with the government on national agendas, pledging to maintain peace and elevate Malaysia’s global standing.

The BUDI95 program is part of broader efforts to deliver targeted aid fairly, amid ongoing economic challenges. Government officials have yet to provide further details on enrollment or broader rollout, but the initiative has been positioned as a strategic measure to support key frontline workers.
