BANTING, SELANGOR, MALAYSIA January 15. 2026 – Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail personally joined an enforcement operation last night, participating in the National Registration Department’s (JPN) planned operation known as Ops Vape at an electronics manufacturing factory in Teluk Panglima Garang, Banting.
The integrated operation involved JPN’s Special Investigation Division, the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM), and the Department of Labour (JTK). Approximately 500 factory workers were screened, and the operation successfully detected several offences under the National Registration Regulations 1990 as well as violations related to foreign workers under the Employment Act.
In a post on the X platform, Saifuddin Nasution stated that the operation was not merely a gimmick or a one-off event, but was conducted prudently and with clear focus, in line with the MADANI Government’s principles that emphasise integrity in governance, justice, and safety for all.
He also congratulated the JPN, JIM, and JTK teams and expressed gratitude to the media representatives who were present to cover the operation.
At the same time, the Minister urged employers and the public to consistently comply with the law and to take a firm stance against the misuse of identification documents in order to protect national security and maintain societal harmony.
