PUTRAJAYA, MALAYSIA February 17, 2026 – Malaysia’s Minister of Health, Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, marked the arrival of Chinese New Year today with a heartfelt message emphasising unity in diversity as the foundation of the nation’s harmony and prosperity.
In a post shared on the Ministry of Health’s official X account ( @KKMPutrajaya ), the Minister highlighted that “unity in diversity is the pillar of our country’s harmony” and urged Malaysians to strengthen family ties and friendships across racial and cultural lines during the festive season.
“Only through the spirit of togetherness that transcends differences in race and culture can we guarantee sustainable prosperity for future generations,” the message stated. It added that every celebration carries the same core message: unity is the key to well-being in Malaysia’s big family.
The accompanying video greeting showcases vibrant Chinese New Year festivities, including iconic red lanterns, lion and dragon dances against the backdrop of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline, family reunions, angpao exchanges, and multicultural gatherings involving healthcare workers and communities.
