WASHINGTON D.C. January 29, 2026 — First Lady Melania Trump appeared on Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria” on Wednesday, where she praised President Donald Trump as a “unifier” and expressed hope that ongoing political divisions and resistance would come to an end.
“The country is divided. It’s very hard no matter what he says — they don’t like to listen,” the First Lady said. “I feel that it’s a lot of pushback, and I hope it stops.”
She went on to commend the President’s approach: “I think he is doing a fantastic job. He had great success, and he is a unifier. He is positive thinking, forward-thinking. He wants to put this country in order [so] that everybody can live here freely, not in danger.”
Melania Trump highlighted priorities on public safety, stating the President aims for a nation where people “can walk down the street and not to be harassed or murdered,” and referenced past border security challenges. “So many criminals came over the border… He closed the border now… We need to take care of our citizens,” she added.
The interview featured prominent display of the First Lady’s memoir, MELANIA, with copies of the book placed on the table between her and the host.
The appearance comes as the Trump administration continues its second term, focusing on America First policies amid ongoing national debates.
The White House Rapid Response account shared a clip of the interview on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting Melania Trump’s comments on the President’s unifying leadership.
