MALAYSIA, KUALA LUMPUR, June 20 – Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail officially assumed the role of Malaysia’s 15th Inspector-General of Police (IGP) today, succeeding Tan Sri Razarudin Husain. The handover ceremony, which included the presentation of insignia, was witnessed by Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, who attended the event, congratulated Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid and expressed confidence in his ability to uphold national safety and prosperity.
“I pray that Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid will execute his duties with excellence,” Fahmi said.
Fahmi also extended heartfelt gratitude to Tan Sri Razarudin for his exemplary service and contributions to the nation.
“Congratulations on your retirement, Tan Sri!” he added.
The ceremony marks a new chapter for the Royal Malaysia Police, with Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid expected to lead with distinction in ensuring the country’s security.
