MALAYSIA, Kuala Lumpur, June 18, 2025 – Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Fadillah Yusof attended the vibrant Gawai Open House 2025, themed ‘Segulai Sejalai,’ held at Dewan Tan Sri Mahfoz Khalid, Ministry of Works (KKR) on Wednesday.
The event was graced by Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who officiated the celebration with a ceremonial gong strike. The festivities were enlivened by traditional Dayak cultural performances, showcasing Malaysia’s rich diversity.
Fadillah expressed gratitude to Minister of Works Dato’ Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, KKR’s top management, and staff for the warm invitation.
Guests were treated to an array of Sarawak’s iconic dishes, including mi kolok, Sarawak laksa, ayam pansuh, and traditional delicacies such as kuih penyaram, kuih bongkol, kuih jala, and celorot.
Commending KKR’s initiative, Fadillah praised the event for fostering unity and harmony among Malaysia’s diverse communities.
“May the spirit of ‘Segulai Sejalai’ continue to flourish, strengthening the bonds of unity,” he said.
