KUCHING, SARAWAK, MALAYSIA January 24, 2026 – Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Amar Fadillah Yusof officiated the Shell LiveWire Malaysia 2025 National Awards Ceremony today, praising young entrepreneurs for their role in driving innovation, creating jobs, and advancing sustainable development.
Held in Kuching and organised by Shell Malaysia in partnership with Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS), the ceremony celebrated the program’s top innovators from across the country. The initiative supports emerging businesses addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges.
Fadillah, who is also Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, highlighted the vital collaboration between public and private sectors in building a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem. “Entrepreneurship is no longer just an option but a necessity for the nation’s future,” he said, urging winners to continue innovating with integrity and purpose.
Shell Malaysia Country Chair Siti Sulaiman emphasised the program’s impact, noting that it engaged 180 entrepreneurs nationwide, with 15 advancing as national finalists.
Five enterprises were named national winners:
– Waig Consultancy Sdn Bhd (Sabah) – An environmental consultancy specialising in hydraulic and coastal modelling, awarded RM30,000 to advance eco-friendly infrastructure solutions.
– Earthlings Coffee (Sarawak)
– Lariss Quna Enterprise (Sarawak)
– Lettuboost (Sarawak)
– Rebooz (Peninsular Malaysia)
The ceremony placed special emphasis on environmental sustainability, with significant recognition and prizes for innovators in this field.
