SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR, MALAYSIA March 4, 2026 – The Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG), Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, accepted an invitation to the Tautan Mahabbah and Prime Iftar Ceremony held at Al-Rawsha Restaurant, Section 7, here, yesterday.
The event was jointly organised by Pertubuhan Kebajikan Assolahiyyah Malaysia (PKAM), Saadah Education Group (SEG), Innovative International College (IUC), and Your Education Guidance (YEG).
The ceremony also featured two important highlights: the launch of the Al-Thaqafah Journal and the introduction of the Bachelor of Shariah and Master of Islamic Studies programmes offered by SEG.
This initiative is viewed as a significant step in integrating academic excellence with the Islamic scholarly tradition (Turath). The Al-Thaqafah Journal serves as a key platform for researchers and academics to discuss socio-cultural and socio-political issues impacting the Muslim world.
The programme continued with the breaking of fast and the congregational Maghrib prayer, fostering an atmosphere of warmth and brotherhood among the guests.
Also in attendance were the Chairman of Yayasan Minda and former Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of the Board of Universiti Teknologi MARA, Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Ibrahim Shah Abu Shah; former Mufti of Pahang, Dato’ Sri Dr. Hj. Abdul Rahman Hj. Osman; Member of the Majlis Hukama’ Al-Muslimin (Muslim Council of Elders), Datuk Hj. Mohd Nakhaie Hj. Ahmad; Chancellor of IUC, Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Hashim Yaacob; Dean of the Baitussaadah Institute of Islamic Studies, Professor Dr. Sheikh Omar Muhammad Kalash Al-Husainiy; Dean of the Faculty of Usuluddin at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali, Professor Dato’ Dr. Mohd Fakhruddin Abdul Mukti; former Director of the Commercial Crime Investigation Department, CP Dato’ Sri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf, along with other academics.
The presence of the Deputy Inspector-General of Police at this event reflects the Royal Malaysia Police’s commitment to strengthening community relations and supporting Islamic education initiatives that contribute to the development of the ummah.
