Deputy IGP Stresses Integrity and Trust as Pillars of Disciplined Public Service

PUTRAJAYA, MALAYSIA Oct. 17, 2025– Deputy Inspector-General of Police (Deputy IGP) Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay yesterday underscored that integrity and trustworthiness are the fundamental pillars in forging public servants who are disciplined and uphold noble morals.

He made the remarks during a lecture titled “Truly Brave, Steadfast Integrity” at the Perdana Auditorium in the Setia Perdana Complex, addressing over 300 staff members from the Prime Minister’s Department (JPM).

Ayob Khan highlighted the profound responsibility public servants bear in sustaining public trust, which must be fulfilled with sincerity and reverence for God. “I will never compromise with anyone who breaches service ethics, particularly integrity violations such as corruption,” he stated.

The senior police officer’s attendance fulfilled an invitation to serve as an icon of civil service integrity, recognized for his reputation of firmness, courage, and unwavering principles. The event formed part of the 2025 Psychology, Integrity, Sports, and Active Reading Week (PRISMA) organized by JPM’s Integrity Unit.

Among those present were JPM’s Deputy Chief Secretary (Finance and Development), Dato’ Indera Ikmalrudin Ishak; Head of JPM Integrity Unit, Puan Fadzillah Shamsuddin; and Secretary of JPM’s Procurement Division, Encik Ross Rafizal Rosli.
