Deputy IGP Chairs Second 2025 Meeting on AI Integration in PDRM

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, July 16, 2025 – Deputy Inspector-General of Police (Deputy IGP) DIG Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay chaired the second 2025 meeting on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology in the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) at the IGP Meeting Room, PDRM Headquarters, Bukit Aman, this afternoon.

The meeting began with the confirmation of minutes and feedback from the previous session. Key agendas included presentations and idea-sharing from various PDRM departments on issues, needs, and challenges in implementing AI technology at the departmental level.

A highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the proposed PDRM AI “Road Map” and the “Proof of Concept” (PoC) methodology for AI implementation within the organization, delivered by Senior Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rahman Kassim, Head of Strategic Policy, IGP Secretariat (Research and Development), Bukit Aman.

The meeting was attended by PDRM directors, deputy directors, and senior police officers.
