DEPUTY IGP ATTENDS LAUNCH OF TOGETHER AGAINST CRIME CAMPAIGN AT SUNWAY UNIVERSITY

SUBANG JAYA, SELANGOR, Malaysia, August 6 2025 – Deputy Inspector-General of Police (Deputy IGP), DIG Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, officiated the launch of the Together Against Crime Campaign at Sunway University today.

The event, jointly organized by Sunway University, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), and the Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF), was graced by Sunway Group Founder and Chancellor, who also serves as MCPF Selangor Chairman, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Sir Dr. Jeffrey Cheah KBE AO.

In his speech, Tan Sri Ayob Khan commended the organizing committee for their unique and significant initiative in strengthening national peace and public safety. He emphasized that maintaining national security is a shared responsibility, not solely the duty of authorities, and urged Sunway University’s community to continue supporting PDRM and other enforcement agencies in combating crime.

The event featured a K9 Unit demonstration by the Criminal Investigation Department, alongside exhibitions by various agencies, including the National Anti-Drug Agency, Malaysia Prisons Department, and Malaysia Immigration Department.

Also present were Selangor Police Chief CP Dato’ Pahlawan Shazeli Dato’ Kahar, Selangor Deputy Police Chief DCP Mohd Zaini Abu Hassan, Subang Jaya District Police Chief ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, representatives from government enforcement agencies, and media partners.
