Deputy IGP Adds Festive Flair to Grand Closing of MADANI Rakyat 2025 Program in Melaka

MALACCA, MALAYSIA Oct 19, 2025 – In a vibrant display of national unity and commitment to public welfare, Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIGP) Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay graced the official closing ceremony of the MADANI Rakyat Program (PMR) 2025 at the State Level in Melaka, held at Politeknik Merlimau today.

The event was symbolically and patriotically officiated by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, with Defense Minister Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf Yusoh also in attendance. Themed “MADANI Aspirations: Ensuring National Defense and Sovereignty,” the program was an initiative of the Prime Minister’s Office through the Performance Surge Coordination Unit, in strategic collaboration with the Ministry of Defense and the Melaka State Government.

Spanning three days since last Friday, the ceremony marked the official conclusion of the 2025 PMR tour series, drawing crowds eager to engage with government outreach efforts.

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) played a lively role in energizing the event through an active exhibition booth, offering special discounts on traffic summonses to the public. This initiative not only alleviates financial burdens for citizens but also encourages the settlement of outstanding fines while fostering greater awareness of road law compliance.

In a poignant highlight, Prime Minister Anwar handed over various forms of assistance under the MADANI Welfare Assistance Program to recipients from poor and hardcore poor households. Additional aid included Public Higher Education Institution Assistance and scholarships from the Armed Forces Fund Board – International Islamic University Malaysia Ummatic Scholarship for high-achieving children of Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) veterans. The distribution extended to association funds and the ATM Veterans Housing Initiative, underscoring the MADANI Government’s dedication to championing the welfare of national defense personnel.

Earlier, Tan Sri Ayob, accompanied by Melaka Police Chief DCP Dato’ Dzulkhairi Mukhtar, toured the PDRM exhibition booth, interacting with on-duty officers and visitors to extend greetings and appreciation.

The ceremony was further enlivened by the presence of Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, Melaka State Assembly Speaker Datuk Wira Ibrahim Durum, Melaka State Secretary Datuk Wira Azhar Arshad, and Chief of Defence Forces General Tan Sri Mohd Nizam Jaffar.

As the curtains fell on PMR 2025 in Melaka, the event reinforced the administration’s focus on inclusive development, defense readiness, and community empowerment, setting a positive tone for ongoing national initiatives.
