KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, Sept 30, 2025 – Malaysia’s Cyber Digital Services, Defence and Security Asia Exhibition and Conference (CyberDSA 2025) opened its doors today at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), drawing thousands of experts to tackle pressing cybersecurity threats in Asia and globally.

The three-day event, which runs through October 2, has attracted over 8,000 trade professionals from 45 countries and features 150 exhibitors from 15 nations. Officiated by Digital Minister YB Gobind Singh Deo, the gathering emphasizes the urgent need for proactive cyber defenses amid rising AI-driven attacks, supply chain vulnerabilities, and risks to critical infrastructure.
In his opening address, Gobind stressed that “cyber resilience is not an optional investment but the new currency of trust in global trade and governance.” He warned that Malaysia must shift from reactive measures to build a foundation for economic progress and national security, adding that digital trust is essential for businesses, governments, and citizens to navigate digital transformation safely.
Themed “Pioneering the Future: Building a Resilient and Trusted Digital Nation,” CyberDSA 2025 aims to align Malaysia’s national cybersecurity goals with regional collaboration. It focuses on capacity building, sharing best practices, and developing robust digital infrastructure to counter evolving threats.
Al-Ishsal Ishak, chairman of CyberSecurity Malaysia’s board, highlighted the event’s role in fostering partnerships: “CyberDSA is more than an event; it is where vision translates into operational outcomes. This collaborative spirit strengthens Malaysia as a regional hub for cyber resilience.”
The conference features 80 speakers from 15 countries discussing key topics, including AI alliances for digital defense, quantum threats to national security, and financial sector resilience. Highlights include the ASEAN Cyber Defence Network (ACDN) Meeting, the Military Intelligence, Law Enforcement and Security Agencies Conference (MIESAC), and the Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR) Symposium.
Interactive elements such as a hackathon, flash talks, e-games showcases, and hands-on labs in open-source intelligence (OSINT) and offensive training are designed to nurture emerging talent and encourage innovation in real-world scenarios. Dedicated networking sessions and B2B meetings are also on the agenda to forge lasting alliances.
Tan Sri Asmat Kamaludin, chairman of organizer Aerosea Exhibitions Sdn Bhd, reflected on the event’s growth: “From the very beginning, CyberDSA was about building a platform where governments, industries, defense authorities, and innovators could chart the future of cybersecurity. Today, it has grown into a gathering of global influence.”
Co-hosted by CyberSecurity Malaysia and the Defence Cyber and Electromagnetic Division of the Malaysian Armed Forces, the event receives support from the Ministry of Digital, Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Defence, National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA), Malaysian Armed Forces, Royal Malaysia Police, and Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB).
As cyber threats continue to escalate, CyberDSA 2025 positions Malaysia at the forefront of regional efforts to enhance digital trust and resilience. For more details, visit www.cyberdsa.com.
