PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia, August 15, 2025 – CP Dato’ Sri Mohd Shuhaily bin Mohd Zain, Chief Director of the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS), welcomed a courtesy visit from a Sarawak Government delegation. The visit, held at the AKPS headquarters, marked a significant step in fostering collaboration on border security matters in Sarawak.

The delegation was led by Datu Buckland Bangik, Deputy Secretary of the Sarawak Government (Administration), who spearheaded discussions focused on perspectives and idea exchanges related to border safety challenges in the region. The talks underscored a shared commitment to enhancing security measures along Sarawak’s borders.
Joining Datu Buckland were representatives from the Office of the Deputy Secretary of the Sarawak Government (Administration), the State Attorney General’s Office of Sarawak, the Immigration and Labour Management Unit (ILMU), and SOCOE Sdn. Bhd. The diverse group brought valuable insights to the table, reflecting a multi-agency approach to tackling border-related issues.
The AKPS expressed gratitude to the Sarawak Government delegation for their willingness to engage in this meaningful visit. Both parties expressed optimism that this interaction would strengthen strategic cooperation, paving the way for future initiatives to ensure the nation’s sovereignty and security remain uncompromised.
