PUTRAJAYA. Malaysia, Sept 23, 2025 – Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail today met with nine civil society organizations, led by Arul, to discuss critical issues surrounding the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012.

In a statement, Saifuddin emphasized his commitment to open dialogue, stating, “My principle is simple: creating space for discussion, listening, and finding common ground.” He described the meeting as a meaningful two-way exchange, allowing him to outline the government’s initiatives while attentively considering the groups’ views, suggestions, and concerns.
“This was not a one-sided briefing but a genuine platform for mutual understanding,” he said. Saifuddin expressed his openness to diverse perspectives and pledged to continue such engagements in the future, adding, “This is just the beginning, and God willing, we will keep the door open for further discussions.”
The meeting marks a significant step toward fostering collaboration between the government and civil society on matters of public interest.
