The government underscored its prudent spending approach, ensuring every ringgit is utilized responsibly to safeguard the financial future of coming generations. Efforts to enhance transparency and integrity were also highlighted, aimed at bolstering investor confidence and public trust in the country’s economic direction.

In a significant allocation for the energy and water sector, the budget earmarks RM5.19 billion, comprising RM392.74 million for administrative expenses and RM4.8 billion for development initiatives. Fadillah expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for the funding, noting that the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) remains steadfast in fortifying the sector through measured, sustainable, and high-impact measures aligned with the Malaysia MADANI vision.

The MADANI government has placed a strong emphasis on accelerating development in Sabah and Sarawak, particularly in energy, water, roads, and digitalization, in keeping with the spirit of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63). Sabah receives RM6.9 billion, while Sarawak is allocated RM6 billion – the highest historical provisions for both states, signaling unwavering commitment to regional equilibrium and collective prosperity.

Fadillah concluded that the Budget MADANI 2026 conveys a clear message: “Discipline for the nation, care for the people, and investment for the future.”
