BANGI, Malaysia, Sept 26, 2025 – On 22 September 2025, Bangi Member of Parliament Syahredzan Johan and Shafie Ngah, Sungai Ramal Assemblyman, recorded a Consent Judgment at the Kuala Lumpur High Court, resolving a defamation lawsuit filed by Syahredzan against Shafie.
Under the terms of the Consent Judgment, Shafie is prohibited from repeating the alleged defamatory statements and is required to issue a public apology, which has been published on his social media platforms. Additionally, the apology will be published in two national newspapers and on social media platforms associated with Shafie, PAS Bangi, and PN Bangi. With this settlement, and upon full compliance with its terms, there should be no further personal disputes between Syahredzan and Shafie.
