PERAK, MALAYSIA February 14, 2026 – Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim emphasized unity, moral conduct, and spiritual preparation as Malaysia gears up for the holy month of Ramadan during a community engagement session in Padang Rengas, Perak.
Speaking at the open hall event at Masjid Al-Taufiqiah on Saturday (February 14, 2026), Anwar stressed that Ramadan should serve as a platform to strengthen national unity and build good character, rather than a time for disputes or spreading insults.
“In the midst of official duties and daily responsibilities, we must remain mindful to make thorough preparations to welcome Ramadan al-Mubarak, so that together we can elevate our level of piety to Allah SWT and reinforce the value of compassion in society,” he said.
The Prime Minister announced several government initiatives under the MADANI administration to benefit the local community in the Padang Rengas parliamentary constituency:
– RM2 million allocated for the construction of Masjid Al-Muttaqin
– RM200,000 to Maahad Al-Yahyawiah
– RM140,000 distributed to 28 mosques in the surrounding area for Ramadan programs
– RM60,000 to implement the Dapur MADANI program at the Padang Rengas level
Anwar expressed confidence that the MADANI Government would continue to intensify efforts to assist citizens at all levels, while upholding Malaysia’s dignity on the global stage.
“Insya-Allah, the MADANI Government will keep multiplying endeavours to help the people at every level, while ensuring Malaysia’s name continues to be raised with dignity in the international arena,” he added.
The post has garnered positive local responses, with supporters praising the leadership’s focus on elevating faith and justice through Ramadan preparations. The announcements reflect ongoing commitments under the #MalaysiaMADANI, #RancakkanMADANI, and #MADANIBekerja campaigns.
