KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA Oct 3, 2025 – Prime Minister Dato’Seri Anwar Ibrahim today confirmed his communication with Sani Araby, Director of the Sumud Nusantara Command Center, to obtain the latest updates on efforts to free and repatriate Malaysian activists and volunteers involved in a humanitarian mission.

As the Principal Patron of the Sumud Nusantara Humanitarian Mission, Anwar also conveyed personal greetings to the families of the Malaysian delegation, while emphasizing that their health and well-being should be closely monitored.
In his posting on X today, Anwar gave a firm assurance that the government is mobilizing all resources and efforts to ensure the immediate release of all Malaysian activists and volunteers without any compromise.
“All resources and efforts are being mobilized to ensure that all Malaysian activists and volunteers are freed immediately without any compromise,” Anwar emphasized, reflecting the government’s steadfast commitment to the safety of its citizens abroad.
This morning’s communication comes amid ongoing efforts by Sumud Nusantara to address the issue of freeing the Malaysian delegation involved in humanitarian activities in the region. No further details on the release date have been announced as yet, but Anwar stressed that close cooperation with the relevant parties will be maintained.
