Anwar Ibrahim Visits Nordin Ahmad Art Gallery, Emphasizes Preservation of Malay Filmmaking Legacy

PERMATANG PASIR, PENANG, MALAYSIA Nov 8, 2025 – Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim visited the Nordin Ahmad Art Gallery at Sekolah Kebangsaan Permatang Pasir today, in an effort to honor the contributions of the legendary national actor, the late Nordin Ahmad.

During the visit, Anwar toured the collection of photographs, artworks, and unique songket headgear that were featured in various iconic roles of the great artist. This gallery not only serves as a witness to the history of the nation’s filmmaking art but also as a symbol of appreciation for Nordin Ahmad’s stature, who colored the Malay silver screen with quality acting, discipline, and refined artistry.
