According to his video posted on X this afternoon, Anwar has spoken directly with the President of Türkiye, the President of Egypt, and the Prime Minister of Qatar to obtain their commitments in demanding the swift release of those individuals. He also emphasized that his team has maintained close contact with other international partners, including the United States Secretary of State, to urge intervention and prompt action without any delay.

“I and my team have also been in close contact with several other partners, including the United States Secretary of State, to demand intervention and immediate action without any delay,” Anwar stressed in his video.

This situation unfolds amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, where Malaysia continues to condemn the Israeli regime’s actions viewed as oppression against the Palestinian people. Anwar reiterated the Malaysian government’s firm stance, stating: “Once again, I emphasize that the injustices committed by the Israeli regime must be stopped immediately. Malaysia will not remain silent when the rights and dignity of our people are trampled.”

He also expressed deep prayers for the safety of the involved Malaysians while calling for humanitarian aid channels to Gaza and the entire Palestinian territories to be opened without obstruction. “With deep concern, I pray to Allah SWT that all our detained comrades are released as soon as possible, and that humanitarian aid channels for our brothers and sisters in Gaza and throughout the land of Palestine can be delivered without hindrance,” he added.

The Foreign Ministry has confirmed that these diplomatic efforts are part of the government’s comprehensive strategy to protect its citizens abroad while continuing to support the Palestinian cause. Reactions from the opposition and local NGOs are expected soon, with many praising Anwar’s initiative as a proactive step.
