Speaking at the launch, Ahmad Zahid, a father and grandfather, emphasized the immense potential of every child, describing them as “a trust from Allah SWT.” He highlighted the importance of early intervention and tailored education for children with special needs to ensure they are not left behind in the national education system.

The TABIKA Tunas Istimewa@KEMAS is designed to provide structured, inclusive, and compassionate early education for children in rural areas. This pilot project marks a historic step in addressing the unique learning needs of children in underserved communities.

The initiative will roll out in phases, starting with Phase 1 in Melaka, followed by expansion to state levels in Phase 2, and eventually to districts nationwide in Phase 3. This phased approach allows for continuous evaluation and refinement to ensure its effectiveness before nationwide implementation.

Ahmad Zahid expressed his hope that the program will ensure no rural child is excluded from Malaysia’s education system. “Insha-Allah, this initiative will pave the way for a brighter future for our children,” he said.

The launch of TABIKA Tunas Istimewa@KEMAS signals a new chapter in inclusive education, offering hope and opportunity to special needs children in rural Malaysia.
