MELAKA, Malaysia, August 6, 2025 – Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Dato’ Sri Hj. Mohd Khalid Hj. Ismail delivered a heartfelt address to the Melaka Police Contingent at the Melaka Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) Auditorium this afternoon.
In his address, the IGP urged all personnel to uphold integrity and maintain zero tolerance for misconduct in their duties. He also emphasized the importance of embracing cutting-edge technology, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), to prepare for future challenges.
The adoption of AI, he noted, would enhance efficiency and accuracy in service delivery, aligning with the police force’s digital transformation agenda and the government’s goal of strengthening public service systems.
Earlier, Dato’ Sri Hj. Mohd Khalid paid a courtesy visit to Melaka Chief Police Officer, DCP Dato’ Dzulkhairi Mokhtar, at the IPK Melaka.
Also present were Malaysia Police Secretary, DCP Dato’ Kamaruzaman Abdullah, heads of IPK Melaka departments, district police chiefs, and station chiefs from the Melaka Contingent.
