Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, accompanied by his wife, attended the historic ceremony, marking the culmination of an intensive training program. The graduates, now equipped with skills far beyond physical endurance and discipline, have been honed in strategic knowledge, maritime law, safety tactics, and the core values that define integrity as guardians of the seas.

Speaking at the event, Saifuddin emphasized the challenges awaiting these new officers. “Out at sea, it’s not just the waves you’ll face, but real threats—arms and drug smuggling, illegal fishing, and human trafficking. These demand strength, wisdom, and unwavering commitment,” he said.

Addressing the graduates, he urged them to carry their responsibilities with honor. “Today, you complete one journey and begin another—one that is greater, more challenging, and deeply meaningful. Serve not for personal glory, but for the nation we all share. Be the eyes and ears of our maritime borders, and return to shore with your integrity intact.”

Saifuddin congratulated the new MMEA heroes, urging them to serve with courage, honesty, and dignity. “May your steps forward be purposeful, brave, and honorable,” he concluded.

The ceremony marked a significant milestone for the MMEA, as these young officers prepare to safeguard Malaysia’s maritime boundaries with unwavering dedication.
